Why not get married in Aruba?  And talk about one-stop shopping:  after the wedding, you can stay on the island and honeymoon in paradise.  You must be at least 18 years old and submit standard documentation at least 14 days prior to the date of the ceremony.  Documents must be submitted to the Office of the Civil Registry on the island.  Call 011-297-5834400 or e-mail pivaruba (at) seternet.aw for more information.  All denominations, as well as civil ceremonies, are cheefully accomodated.  Note that boat captains are not authorized to officiate a wedding according to Dutch laws.  This applies for international waters as well as in port.  The only exception to this rule is if the captain has been given authority by the country under whose flag the ship is registered.
